Gemma P. I remember bias cut skirts being in fashion the first time around and have loved seeing them come back in again, especially when worn more casually with a t shirt and white trainers/sneakers. However, due to carrying my weight on my tummy, I always found them unflattering as the bias cut can highlight a bigger tummy. I was interested to test the Lisa Bias Skirt as there are no side seams with the promise was that this would create a flattering drape for all body shapes. And Sarah kept to her promise! I love my skirt as it skims rather than clings. I like the clothes that I sew to be real workhorses in my wardrobe, suitable for work, travelling and any other occasion really and I can see myself wearing this green bias skirt for many a scenario and throughout the seasons. After the success of this skirt, I made another from a navy and white striped jersey that had been in my stash forever and I've already worn it twice!
Rachel C. The Lisa Skirt has kindled my interest in bias skirts. It's a satisfyingly quick sew with two seams down the front rather than the sides, which looks great and keeps the sides free of those seams that can pucker and twist over your hips in a traditional bias skirt design. The pattern offers versatile options, can be made in both wovens or knits and looks so different with each new fabric choice. I love it.
Lisa B. This is a lovely skirt and I am looking forward to better weather so that I can wear it. Something I can be casual and comfortable but could also be more formal - such a versatile shape and pattern and will definitely join my tried and true collection
Jenni C.This is such a versatile skirt. I love how it doesn't have side seams so sits smoothly over the hips. I can see myself making more versions of this in the future.
Francesca C.This is a fast and straightforward pattern that gives you the chance to be the designer by customizing the features and I look forward to making more!
Julia D. The Lisa Bias Skirt is your dream basic skirt! The flattering panels allow the skirt to drape over your individual shape to give you ultimate comfort and style! I was so excited by this make, and am already planning my next one!
Brianne K.This skirt was a fun and easy sew, I'm looking forward to making it again.
Saba L. The buttons are so elegant, I have sewed three Lisa biased skirts already and am planning my fourth with a vintage look. The fit is comfortable and flattering which is hard to find. The instructions are clear and easy to follow.
June B. The Lisa Skirt is such a quick, fun sew. It looks lovely as a basic skirt or you can dress it up in various ways. So many options for different looks.
